Back On Our Feet

Mark 1:29-31 - As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon's mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

Here we find Jesus and the guys, going to hang out after church. They decide to go to Simon and Andrew's house for lunch. Simon's mother-in-law is sick, but Jesus goes in, takes her by the hand, and she is miraculously healed! She gets up and waits on them. Wow!

Have you ever met someone and thought, "I should serve this person," but you couldn't find the strength to do it? Have you ever asked someone to serve, and they just didn't seem to want to do it?

Here is a great example of serving. Sometimes we lack the motivation and the heart to serve. Sometimes we can have a "spiritual fever." We are a little groggy, a little slow, a little run down. Jesus did not come in and challenge her to carry her cross and deny self. He first touched her, healed her, and then she wanted to serve!warsaw1

If you have a spiritual fever, don't just "push yourself" and muster the strength to serve with gritted teeth. Go and touch Jesus. Go and pray, and spend some time in God's word. Go let Jesus touch your heart, and then come back and serve.

If someone you care for has a spiritual fever, they probably don't need to be challenged to serve, but instead they need to have Jesus brought to their home. Let Jesus touch them. Then the fever will leave them, and they will serve willingly!

Pray for Warsaw

warsaw2Welcome to the capital of Poland, a city with over 2.7 million people! Although there was previously a church planted in Warsaw, due to the absence of a full-time minister and the spread of false doctrine in the congregation, the church no longer meets.

Please pray that one day we might be able to plant another group of disciples in this great city, and that this group could help to reach all the cities in Poland! Pray that God will convert natives in other cities around the world, and that they can be united in a team that will return to their homeland!

We are currently praying with the goal in mind of replanting Warsaw in the summer of 2011. Please join us in this prayer!
