Im not a very good world traveler. There are plenty of stories to back that up (for instance, I got my passport updated only the day before my last Euro venture to Switzerland). Im not too interested in leaving my family behind for a few hours, much less a week & a half. However, I recently returned from nine days in Eastern Europe that changed my life, and I want to tell you why. It all began in Budapest, Hungary, site of the 2006 Eastern European Conference. The music, speeches and worship to God were mountain-top experiences. I got to hang out with great friends like the Fixes, Wootens, Szabads, Sommerkamps, Greg Martin, Hoovers, etc. However, at the top of my list too was the chance to meet disciples from third world countries who have committed their lives and hearts to Jesus. We spoke of challenges and joys that all of us have no matter our country of origin.
