April 11 - Pray for Greece!

2 Thes. 1:11-12
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. [12] We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for joining the International Missions Society in our "month of prayer for missions." Today we are praying for the nation of Greece, a beautiful country with about 10 million people and more than 1,400 islands located on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe. We have a small church meeting in Athens, the capital of Greece. To view today's video from Athens, click here.  If you are looking for guidance in terms of what to pray for, here are some suggestions:

1. Pray for a stable government that is favorably disposed to Christianity.
2. Pray that God will strengthen the disciples who are already in the country.
3. Pray that God will open hearts and connect those open hearts with disciples.
4. Pray for nationals to be converted in other churches around the world.
5. Pray for God to inspire brothers and sisters to want to lead others.
