Recharge Mark 1:35-37 - Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!" Don't you love the snooze button? "If I could just sleep a little more, it would change my life!" "Just another 20 minutes, that would recharge me!" Ever have a couple days where you sleep until you wake up on your own, but you are still tired? It happens to me. Do you know why? It's because you are a spiritual being. The spiritual is actually more real than the physical! The physical is temporary. The spiritual is permanent. What do you do when you are run down and tired? As usual, Jesus has the answer. Get up early, and go talk to God! Remember Jesus' schedule the day before? What a day! So the next day, he really needed to recharge. How did he do that? He got up early in the morning to go talk to his Father! Feeling a little weary? Feeling a little run down? I know the perfect escape. It's not a vacation. It's not sleeping in and hitting the spa. It's getting a few extra hours with your Creator! Have you ever had to recharge a car battery? How do you do that? A new paint job? A visit to the auto accessory store? Maybe pop the hood and pour in some oil? How about connecting the battery to a power source? Next time your heart and soul need a recharge, don't go to the mall. Don't flip on the TV. Instead, get on your knees. Open your bible! Plug into a power source that will keep you going into eternity! Recharge daily, and keep your heart energized for God! Pray for Stuttgart Stuttgart is the capital of Baden-Württemberg state in Southern-Germany. The metropolitan area has 2.7 million inhabitants. The city itself and the surrounding smaller towns are spread across hills, valleys and parks. It is also called "the cradle of the automobile." One of its most famous museums is the Mercedes-Benz Museum. We've had a small church planting in Stuttgart, but right now there is no church there. Please, pray for the lost people of Baden-Württemberg and a church to be replanted in Stuttgart.
