Happy Easter!

Jesus is the only one we know that can turn a funeral into a party! He is our Lord, our Savior, our Hope and our Salvation. He is our Bread, our Light, our Shield and our best Friend!

Jesus is the one person you want to make sure comes to your funeral! Let us celebrate today as the world acknowledges the impossible--Jesus raised from the dead. Let's say that again--Jesus raised from the dead!

Pray for Milan, Italy!milan1

Milan is located in the region of Lombardia in Northern Italy (a region in Italy is equivalent to a state in the US). Greater Milan has a population over 4 million, and the region is home to nearly 8 million people.

Over the last ten years the population has changed drastically. As a result of the EU (European Union), the percentage of foreign-born in Milan has increased to 14%.  Milan is the 5th-largest urban area in the EU, and it continues to be considered one of the most influential cities for design around the world (this includes all aspects of design, from fashion to furniture).

Milan is also the financial headquarters for Italy, and is one of the top five financial centers for all of Europe. Finally, its professional soccer teams have a worldwide reputation as well.

La Chiesa di Cristo di Milano

The church in Milan is a bright light in an otherwise spiritually dark and dead city. We now have 55 disciples in the church, about half of whom are married. We also have 3 teen disciples in the church.

milan2In the last 12 months, the church has seen 6 baptisms and 1 restoration. We are currently averaging 90 on Sundays, including about 10 to 20 visitors every week. We have several who are close to being baptized.

At the end of April we have our annual church retreat.  Randy and Kay McKean will be our guest speakers.  Then at the end of May through the end of June we have about 12 campus students coming to help kick off our campus ministry in a month long campaign. Please pray especially that we can baptize some campus students this year.

We are also laying the foundation for future church plantings in cities like Rome, Turin, Naples, Florence, Palermo and Sardegna. God will determine the timetable but we are exited about the future. Thank you in advance for your prayers!
