But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 You only appreciate being chosen once you understand being rejected, was the way Douglas Arthur put it on the second day of the amazing New England Christian Conference held in Worcester, Massachusetts DCU Center on the weekend of August 24-26. With well over 2,000 in attendance at one time or another during the weekend, the spectacular event had inspirational music, deep classes on a host of topics, warm fellowship, and much more. Steve Saindon from Minneapolis, Minnesota kicked off the Friday night program with a multi-media presentation on The Riches of His Glory. Steve referenced Isaiah 40, which says that we just need to look up to see the enormity of God. Steves facts regarding the galaxies, DNA, revolutions, and speed proved his points that you can even look down, look in, or really look anywhere to see Gods hand! He then wowed us with God by taking us to both sides of the cross: God is love and God is holy. The divine dilemma was solved at Calvary! The evening continued with a special time of worship in song. A wide variety of styles of music took center stage and pointed us upward throughout the conference.
